By Dominic B. dela Cruz Staff reporter Laoag City —With the Dept. of Science and Technology finally giving its approval, the dream of having a science high school in this city became a reality. Laoag mayor Chevylle V. Fariñas personally made the announcement after DOST officials visited the city to firm up plans for the school. Mrs. Fariñas added that the Department of the Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) already issued a certification approving the proposed school site. The MGB is the primary government agency under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) responsible for the conservation, management, development and proper use of the country’s mineral resources including those in reservations and lands of public domains. Mrs. Fariñas stressed further that she sought the help and support funding of Rep. Rodolfo “Rudy” C. Fariñas (Ilocos Norte, 1 st district) for the project. She added that
