PNP recognizes Marcos mayor

Mariano with a plaque of recognition as one of the stakeholders for his enormous contributions in the PNP’s different programs and projects. New Batac police OIC

P/Lt. Col. Roger Digmayo pays a courtesy call at the SP session hall during a regular session on October 5, 2020 as the newly detailed OIC police chief of the city effective October 1, 2020. Mr. Digmayo said that he will focus on the national headquarters programs: anti-criminality on drugs, traffic accidents along national highways, enforcement of local ordinances and other programs and activities by the past chief of police. New Laoag City police chief

  OUTGOING  P/Lt. Col. Amador B. Quicho (left) formally turns over the reins of the Laoag City Police Station to incoming chief of police P/Lt. Col. Rafael D. Lero (right) during a simple turn over ceremony as Ilocos Norte provincial director P/Col. Christopher N. Abrahano (center) looks on. In Mr. Quicho’s send-off speech, he said that in his stay as Laoag police chief he became the his “best version as a policeman”. Ilocos Norte cops help aid stranded boarders

Adriano  Staff Reporter  LAOAG CITY—Michael Opiña and six other families composed of 23 members from Bagong Silang, Caloocan City were stranded in a Laoag boarding house when Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Joseph M. Manotoc declared a total lockdown in the province on March 30, 2020.  Relying on their daily income from selling promo detergent powder which they sell from house to house in the city, Mr. Opiña said they are thankful for good Samaritans such as members of the Philippine National Police manning the village checkpoint near them who share their food whenever they have extra.  Seeing the plight of the stranded sellers along with their small children whom they brought along with them in the city made the Barangay Pila bypass road border control personnel sad as they are just among those families who are struggling for food in time of the COVID-19 crisis.  Police Staff Sgt. Ilocos Norte welcomes new police director

Adriano Staff Reporter LAOAG CITY—Police Colonel Christopher Abrahano took over the reins of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO) in a formal change-in-command ceremony on February 19, 2020 at the Camp Capt. Valentin S. Juan, this city. He replaces outgoing police provincial director P/Colonel Cesar Pasiwen, who is now chief of staff of in Calabarzon regional police office. The incoming officer-in-charge hails from Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan and has held key posts at the Crime Investigation and Detection Group National Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 1 and IV offices. He also served as former chief of police in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. He graduated at the Philippine National Police Academy in 1996. Mr. Abrahano’s installation was presided by P/Brigadier General Joel S. Orduña, the incumbent Police Regional Office 1 regional director.
