PNP detective course opens

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO—65 police commissioned officers (PCOs) with the ranks of Police Superintendent down to Inspector formally started the Investigation Officers Basic Course (IOBC) after a simple opening ceremony here on December 17. IOBC is a regular mandatory course for PCOs to enhance their investigative skills and competency in the line of police work. As a frontline agency, Philippine National Police officers and members become first responders to any crimes and other cases that is why there is a need to ensure the credibility and legitimacy of the pieces of evidence which are considered material for the conviction of persons accused of a crime.   Police Sr. Supt. Tan-ok Festival: A celebration of Ilocano greatness

SP approves IN’s P900-M 2014 budget

Adriano Staff Reporter Following a series of budget hearings, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan unanimously approved on December 11 the more than P900 million provincial budget for 2014. The approved budget amounts to a total of P922,882,142 where majority of the amount goes to health sector reform as the provincial government’s priority agenda.   Provincial board member Vicenti to M. Lazo, chairperson of the of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s committee on appropriation and finance moved for the approval of the 2014 budget sourced mainly from the Internal Revenue Allotment share of the province and the Tobacco excise tax or the so-called RA 7171.
