Mr. Laoag wins Mr. Teenager Universe 2024

 

MR. Laoag ABC 2023 and newly crowned Mister Teenager Universe 2024 Lloyd Figueras receives a Plaque of Congratulations from Laoag Mayor Michael Keon and a “Resolution of Commendation” from the city’s Sangguniang Panlungsod represented by PCL National President Handy Lao.

Laoag City—For the first time in this city’s history, a Laoagueño won this year’s Mister Teenager Universe 2024 pageant held in Bali, Indonesia.

Lloyd Figueras, Mr. Laoag ABC 2023, represented the country in the prestigious universal search.

Figueras, in his courtesy call and speech to the city hall particularly during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod said, he felt “overwhelmed with gratitude with the unwavering support the city government bestowed upon him throughout his journey in the pageant world”.

He stressed that the encouragement given by the people of Laoag has been his “wind beneath his wings” in pushing him towards this remarkable experience.

“Your belief in me has been a source of my strength empowering me to push my limits and strength or excellence. But beyond the glamour of the stage, it is the spirit of the community that truly sets Laoag City apart. Your kindness, generosity  and solidarity had touched my heart that I cannot adequately express. At pinapangako ko po na dadalhin ko ang city of Laoag saan man ako mapunta,” Figueras added.     

Figueras also visited the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Laoag Vice Mayor and presiding officer Rey Carlos Fariñas. (Doms dela Cruz)

He pointed out that the victory was not for himself alone but for the people of Laoag and all the Filipinos as well who believed and supported him along the way.

Keon congratulated Figueras for bringing home the crown while representing Laoag and the Philippines worldwide.

In behalf of the city of Laoag, Keon also handed over a “plaque of congratulations” to Figueras.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Laoag, represented by PCL National President Handy Lao also handed over a “Resolution of Congratulations” to Figueras on his very remarkable experience representing the city of Laoag in the pageant.

Lao, who is the behind the Mr. Laoag search, also expressed his pride for producing a Laoag native blood in the field of international pageant.

In a press conference held right after the motorcade, Figueras once again expressed thanked everyone for all the support they gave since the start of his journey up to his victory with a special thanks to the Lao family and to “Paraiso Ni Aniben” owned by Mr. Ruel & Genedine Jambaro.

Now that he is well known and famous, Figueras said that he is open to opportunities like in the field of show business and modeling or in fashion industry if given a chance.
