Imee eyes senate seat

Laoag City—Ilocos Norte Governor Ma. Imelda Josefa “Imee” R. Marcos filed her certificate of candidacy for senator at the Commission on Elections office in Intramuros, Manila on October 16, 2018.

She also showcased Ilocos Norte as a proof of her public service after the province became one of the fastest and most efficient in reducing poverty rates in the whole country.

The governor said, they attained this even without any industrial or freeport zones as well as not hosting any big cities and being very far from Metro Manila.

Ms. Marcos served three terms as Ilocos Norte second district representative before serving another three term as Ilocos Norte governor. (MTE)
