City—A dead fetus was found dead at the
Chapel of Candles, just beside the St. Williams Parish this city on November 9
at about 11:00 am.
Sampaguita vendor Loilita
Agruda said, in an interview, that when she entered the said chapel, she saw a
plastic bag, which she mistook for “bagoong”, [fermented fish paste]. She added
that she suspected that it was left behind unknowingly as it was heavy.
“Ngem idi irwar kun ket adda nakitak a diapers ken adda met daran isu a linukatak ket nakitak metten a rupat ubingen,”
Ms. Agruda said.
She added that she was told
that at least four women entered the said chapel before her. The said women
left immediately to call the church’s guard on duty to report the matter to the
police.
City social work and
development office personnel Jewani Silva was among those who responded to the
call. She related that the fetus was first blessed by Fr. Ruben Abaya; named
“Baby Angelita” then buried at the Catholic cemetery.
“Base iti pinangkita mi itay ket kasla puwersa a naikkat kasi adda met
tay makun-kuna a kadkadwa tay ubingen wennu placenta a makunkuna,” Ms. Silva disclosed.
According to City health
office’s Dr. Joseph Abaya, the female fetus had a fetal age of 7-8 months.
