Aspiring migrant workers in Ilocos Norte urged to explore G2G jobs

LAOAG CITY—The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on August 27, 2026 encouraged aspiring overseas Filipino workers in the province to take advantage of its government-to-government (G2G) program that provides access to legitimate overseas employment opportunities facilitated through government arrangements.

Marites Maynes, senior labor and employment officer of the DMW, said that through the DMW's Pre-Employment and Government Placement Bureau, qualified Filipino workers can access vacancies without relying solely on private recruitment agencies.

The DMW currently maintains a dedicated platform for G2G vacancies and Recruitment Specification Forms (RSFs) from partner countries.

“Right now, we have an ongoing application for Croatia. Those interested may visit our DMW website to check on the requirements and for them to have an online appointment,” she said.

She said the program is designed to promote safe, orderly and regulated migration, while helping Filipino workers find employment opportunities where their skills are in demand.

The program offers aspiring migrant workers a government-facilitated pathway to overseas employment while promoting safe, orderly and regulated migration.

Applicants are advised to verify job opportunities through official DMW channels and avoid unauthorized recruiters or unverified job offers. Interested applicants may register through the official DMW e-Registration portal, which supports Filipino workers seeking overseas employment through DMW's government placement services.

Available jobs include bartenders, waiters, cooks, room attendants, cleaners, agricultural workers, welders, steel workers, teachers and caregivers among others bound to Croatia, Kuwait, Japan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
