M. Lhuillier-BDO tie-up for cash transactions

Agreement expands M.L. menu of services for its customers

In an unprecedented tie-up of industry leaders, two of the biggest names in financial services have come together to provide the largest cash management network ever in the history of the Philippines.

M. Lhuillier Financial Services, Inc. (M. Lhuillier) and Banco de Oro (BDO) Unibank signed recently an agreement which effectively further expands M. Lhuillier’s portfolio of services, sealing its leadership in the non-bank financial services industry.

The agreement between the two financial giants was signed in Cebu City. M. Lhuillier was represented by its Executive Vice-President Michael Lhuillier and Cecilia B. Lumapas, Manager of the Financial Services Division, while BDO had Senior Vice-President and Transaction Banking Group Head Emmanuel Narciso and Senior Vice-President for Cash Management Services Jaime Nasol.

The tie-up provides M.L. customers with a better, more efficient cash management service allowing cash withdrawals and other transactions through the ML Cash Card, powered by BDO.

At the same time, the linkage brings more convenience to BDO clients as they may now pay bills and make withdrawals at any of the over 1800 M. Lhuillier branches nationwide.

“We are truly grateful that BDO trusts M. Lhuillier enough to support the ML Cash Card brand. We are very proud of this tie-up and vow to continue our tradition of excellent service to our clients,” said Lhuillier.

M. Lhuillier has pioneered cash management services and is recognized as the leader in non-bank financial services all over the Philippines.

More and more partnerships are being explored to expand the range of products and services that the company offers to its customers. The ML Cash Card, a cash management product, will be rolled out within the year.

M. Lhuillier offers a full menu of conveniences for the Filipino, launching brand after brand of trailblazing services – Quick Cash Loans, Kwarta Padala, Pinoy Protect Plus, among others – which have set the standards for non-bank financial transactions.

The company has grown its customer base exponentially as it added more and more branches to its roster. Aside from customer reach and logistical base, the company has also welcomed more and more partners over the years.

Lumapas said on the sidelines of the contract signing ceremony, “We will add more convenience factors this year to M. Lhuillier’s services pursuant to our commitment of making the lives of the Filipinos more convenient and easier,” Lumapas said.
