In honor of the heroes who brought freedom, fame and glory to the
province as well as to the country in the past century, the Provincial
Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN) through the Education Department and Sirib
Youth Office launched the second batch of Ilocano Heroes Walk on March 10,
2015.

students, visitors as well as tourists in the unveiling of the busts of five
Ilocano heroes at the Sirib Mile.

awareness of the Ilocano youth on their own history as well as to further
inspire them to pursue great achievements for the community.”

the Ilocano heroes from the past such as Juan and Antonio Luna but also of
today’s heroes, emphasizing on the Philippine National Police-Special Action

She

SPO1 Allan Lampitoc Franco and SPO2 Jovalyn Lozano, who both personally
attended the event, for “exemplifying the definition of heroism in this modern
day.”
“This
is to recognize who are living, surviving and continuing to fight for all of
us. We’re very proud of them and we want them to know that even if we have very
little opportunity to show our thanks, we thank them for keeping our country
safe,” she added.
