Laoag City—Another business processing outsourcing (BPO) company is offering free training, this time, for nurses who may be interested to shift careers but still in a related field.

Nicole Rudio, provincial manager of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) said Monday the free training is open to all graduates of nursing who would like to apply in BPO companies.

According to Ms. Rudio, the four-week training to be slated this August is a great opportunity for nurses to advance their career in clinical research and pharmacovigilance.

For interested applicants, Ms. Rudio said the PESO located at east wing of the Provincial Capitol building is accepting applicants for their registration and interview.

In support of the provincial government’s “Sagip Nars” program, BPO companies have extended their job recruitment to nurses, a course which many Ilocanos completed but now has a very limited job opportunities.

“They may not perform as nurses in actual field but they can use their medical background to work in BPO companies engaged in related filed such as clinical research and pharmacovigilance,” said Ms. Rudio.
