DPWH completes 3 of 9 regular infra projects in IN for 2014

Laoag City—The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has already finished three of nine regular infrastructure projects for 2014 in the province as of July 2014.

District Engineer Mathias Malenab, of the Ilocos Norte Second District Engineering Office said the three on-going projects with funds released on the second quarter of this year are almost done with the hardest phase and all projects are expected to finish without delay.

Among these projects include the P16-million rehabilitation of the Nagbibingcaan Bridge, rehabilitation of the Tabbug Bridge worth P11 million; and construction of canals on the Manila North Road from Badoc to San Nicolas town worth P9-million budget.

In a forum jointly organized by the Philippine Information Agency and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) held in Laoag City Mr. Malenab said they are closely monitoring the three ongoing projects in accordance with its program of work and specifications.


He assured these projects under the watch of the DPWH II will be completed with quality output.
