People—The most important resource in an organization

By Aileen V. Joaquin

A tree cannot live without its roots, branches and leaves that work together for its existence. In like manner, an organization or a company, a school for that matter, cannot exist unless it has its assets or resources that work together towards the realization of its goals and objectives. Such resources like human, personal, physical and financial resources work as one towards the attainment of the organization’s noble visions and missions.

Human resources or the people in a company who serve as the workers and implementers of programs and projects are the most important assets in the workplace or in the organization. Without them, the resources, machineries and other supplies cannot work on their own. Nobody will operate the machines; no one will manage the use of the different supplies; no one will prepare the necessary paperworks and the like without these people who act on the implementation of the programs and projects.

These people however cannot succesfully implement said programs and projects without the aid of funds or money. These funds motivate and push people to work. Said funds help them improve the different services and programs that cater to the needs of their clients. Funds or money, whether accepted or not, make impossible or difficult things and ideas possible. The need to be oriented with what these funds are, how they can be used or liquidated, what legal bases support their implementation, etc. is then very essential for leaders or managers to have a productive output.

Machines and equipment help people finish their work easier and faster. They help a lot in the implementation of programs and goals and in the pursuit of any undertaking.

Leaders can also employ the best methods, procedures and strategies in the delivery of the organization’s services in producing positive results.  Proper procedure or methods count much for they are very essential in the implementation of programs and projects.

Thus, people are the most important resources or asset of the country who use methods, machineries, money and others in the delivery of services in building the nation.  The people in the organization work hand in hand in utilizing the different resources in order for them to become productive and contribute better for the development and progress in the workplace and to the country as a whole.
