Dingras, Ilocos Norte—The police in this town, led by their
chief P/Chief Insp. Teddy Rosqueta arrested three suspects for a series of
robbery at Brgy. San Marcelino.
The police report stated that
on Jan. 13, 2015, five residential houses and an elementary school were
ransacked all on the same night.
The incident was reported by
Brgy. San Marcelino chairperson Norbert Calaoagan on Jan. 14.
In their initial
investigation, the Dingras police learned that the suspected robbers roamed
around the barangay on the said night, apparently looking for an opportunity to
rob residents.
On Jan. 15, an eyewitness,
whose identity is being withheld for security reasons, identified the suspects
through the police’s bio profile compilation. The suspects who were identified
were Richard Batac, 21 and a minor aged 17, both residents of Brgy. Cacafean in
Marcos, Ilocos Norte.
The said suspects were later
brought by the Dingras police to their station for investigation and
questioning. During questioning, the suspects revealed their cohort, who was also
a minor. They also disclosed where they kept the stolen items.
In a follow-up operation, the
police nabbed the third suspect and they also recovered the stolen items
including one cellular phone, one rifle air gun, and three bicycles at Brgy.
Escoda in Marcos, Ilocos Norte.
