This
is a verified petition for Correction of Entry in the Certificate of Live Birth
of Danielle Mariegail Rubio Valdez, particularly, in the column:
CITIZENSHIP OF FATHER” from
“AMERICAN” to “FILIPINO”
filed by the Petitioner, thru counsel.
The
petition appearing to be in order, the Court hereby sets the hearing of the
petition on JUNE 3, 2014, at 9:00 o’clock in the morning, at the Regional Trial
Court, Branch 65, Marcos Hall of Justice, Laoag City, at which date, time and
place, any interested persons adversely affected may appear and show cause why
the petition should not be granted.
Let
a copy of this Order be published once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks
in any newspaper of general circulation in the Province of Ilocos Norte and
Laoag City at the expense of the petitioner.
Let
a copy of this Order together with the petition be furnished the Solicitor
General, the Office of the City Prosecutor, the City Civil Registrar of Laoag

Filed
on April 1, 2014 by petitioners Spouses Emerito Bumanglag Palacio and Noralyn
Clemente Palacio thru counsel is a petition seeking the cancellation/correction
of entries in the birth record of Jorgen Clemente Palacio in the Office of the
Local Civil Registrar of Dingras, Ilocos Norte and the Civil Registrar General
Manila.
Briefly,
the petition alleges that minor “Jorgen” a.k.a. Jorgen Clemente Palacio was
born on January 20, 2003 at Dingras, Ilocos Norte to one Sherilyn, an unwed
mother who, on June 2003 left the child to the care and custody of herein
petitioners and never returned since then up to the present, therefore, the
child was registered with the Office of the Local Civil Registrar of Dingras,
Ilocos Norte as the child of petitioners with the name Jorgen Clemente Palacio.
Hence, considering the erroneous entries in the birth record of the child,
petitioners filed this petition.
Finding
the petition to be sufficient in form and substance, the petitioner is hereby
set for initial hearing on May 13, 2014 at 8:30 o’clock in the morning at the
Marcos Hall of Justice, Laoag City.
In
order that any person who may be adversely affected by the said petition may be
notified to file written opposition and/or appear and show cause why the
petition should not be granted, let this Order be published once a week for
three (3) consecutive weeks in a duly accredited newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Laoag and the Province of Ilocos Norte at the
expense of the petitioner.
Likewise,
let copies of this Order and the petition be furnished the offices of the Civil
Registrar General, National Statistics Office, Manila, the Solicitor General,
Makati City, the Provincial Prosecutor, Ilocos Norte and the Local Civil
Registrar, Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
