            This is a verified Amended Petition for the Cancellation and/or Correction of Entries in the Certificate of Live Birth of Lanie L. Longboy filed by Spouses Quirino M. Longboy and Cecilia L. Longboy for and in behalf of Lanie L. Longboy, seeking the Court after due notice and hearing, it issues an order granting the cancellation and/or correction prayed for and directing the National Statistics Office and the Local Civil Registrar of Batac City, Ilocos Norte, to make or cause the necessary corrections in the Certificate of Live Birth of LANIE L. LONGBOY¸particularly in ITEM NO. 12 (DATE AND PLACE OF MARRIAGE OF PARENTS), from SEPTEMBER 25, 1977 to “NOT MARRIED”, and her MIDDLE NAME from “L.” to “LAHIP.”
            The Court hereby sets the initial hearing of the same on November 24, 2014, at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, at the session hall of this Court located at the Bulwagan Ng Katarungan, Batac, Ilocos Norte, on which date, time and place, all interested parties may appear and show cause why the petition should not be granted.
            Let this Order be published at the expense of the petitioner once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the province of Ilocos Norte and the City of Laoag.
            Let copies of the Amended Petition and this Order be furnished the City Civil Registrar of Batac City, Ilocos Norte, the Civil Registrar-General, National Statistics Office, , Quezon City, the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, Batac, Ilocos Norte, the Office of the Solicitor General, Manila, the spouses Jacinto B. PIDS expert says income tax cuts justified; warns gov’t of revenue loss

Proposals to amend the personal income tax schedule appear to be well-justified. However, these proposals should include measures that will allow government to recover the revenue loss from lower income taxes. Dr. Rosario Manasan, senior research fellow of state think-tank Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), said at a seminar sponsored by the Philippine Senate, that government should look for new revenue measures to compensate for the projected revenue loss that will arise as a result of the implementation of any of the various proposals to restructure the personal income tax. Currently, there are several income tax reform proposals pending in both houses of Congress. All of them, according to Dr. Manasan, have the same objective of addressing the phenomenon of bracket creep, which results from “non-indexation to inflation of personal income tax brackets”.
